Excessive sputum production may be a daily issue for some patients, or perhaps just associated with an exacerbation. However many patients and healthcare professionals are unaware of the range of non-pharmacological techniques available enabling patients to self-manage their sputum load.
We have a wealth of experience in teaching patients, their carers and various healthcare professionals a range of sputum clearance techniques. The training includes a large practical element, enabling you to have a go at each technique as well as the opportunity to practice teaching others.
Our sputum clearance study day can be combined with other aspects of respiratory disease management including smoking cessation, oxygen assessment and palliative care. Or it can be combined with a study day to improve your disease specific knowledge i.e. COPD, Bronchiectasis, Cystic Fibrosis.
This training is suitable for anyone who has a role in the management of patients with a sputum load i.e. COPD, Bronchiectasis, Cystic Fibrosis.
